Hello, I am Anna from London. I am a simple, happy-go-lucky woman, but the pandemic changed my life. It not only changed my life—it turned it upside down.
We were a happy family, but the spread of coronavirus and the lockdown caused us financial problems. My father was laid off from his job, and my brother had to face the same. My mother is a homemaker, and I had also lived a fairly casual lifestyle.
Losing his job caused my father to suffer from anxiety and depression. This eventually proved fatal, and he left us for his journey to heaven.
The lockdown made us suffer so much. My mother was diagnosed as COVID-positive and had to be sent to an isolation center.
COVID-19 has not only proven to be a pandemic; it has created enormous struggles for those affected by it. Middle-class families have struggled to survive, and the new strain of coronavirus has made us frightened.
Being with the people who love us is one way to find strength during such a difficult time. Parents shower us with love and care, so we should respect them and never intentionally cause them pain.
I wanted to make my parents happy and proud of me. I will always love them, but moving forward will not be easy for me.
